270G-2 and 270G-3 Speakers

This speaker is in nice conditon. The speaker grills are "flocked" and though the years, the metal grill on which the flocking was deposited has rusted, staining the flocking. Cirgarette smoke didn't help either. This is evident in the 270G-3 speaker shown below.
Replacement grilles with new flocking are available and this speaker has received the new grill treatement along with a very light St. James Gray paint overspray. The result is a very attractive speaker that's ready to join a nicely restored 75A-4.
One interesting feature of the 270G-2 speaker is that the inside of the cablinet is coated with sound deadening material. The loud speaker is a 10-inch, full-range, permanent magnet type.

This speaker is in need of some restoration. The rust colored grill can be replaced for about $25, the plastic trim pieces are easily polished. The cabinet will be oversprayed with a very light coat of Saint James Gray paint.

Sound deadening material is not used with this cabinet. Like the 270G-2 above, a 10-inch, full-range, permanent magnet speaker is used. All of the speaker are rated as a 4-ohm load.
