Super RG-8X and RG-8X Double Shield with Connectors

| Many applications require extraordinary isolation from one coaxial cable to another. Double shielding does the job. Lower loss and an extra 40 dB of isolation makes this cable the answer to many special installations that need that extra edge provided by extreme shielding and isolation. Top of the line stuff. It's the same coax used in our double-shielded jumpers | This is a premium coaxial cable. It features top-quality construction. The shield is 98% and the connectors are quality PL-259s with molded-on strain-relief. These cables are exactly the same as our quality jumpers and this is the same coax and construction used in our new CAROLINA WINDOM® Vertical Radiators. Take advantage of this great new coax from the RADIO WORKS. The price for the complete cable assembly is close to what you have to pay for the coax alone | ||||||||||||
ApplicationsAll RG-8X applications. This coax is ideal for use when several coaxial cable are bundled together. |
ApplicationsThis coax is appropriate for all 50-ohm applications. It comes to you complete with a PL-259 installed on each end. There is molded-on strain-relief that makes connector failure nearly impossible. |

| . This is the coax for you if you need top quality, low loss, double shielded RG-8X size cable. "I have 5 coax runs leaving my second floor shack. To keep the size of the bundle reasonable while still handling the legal power limit, I chose to use Super 240. Low loss, high power rating, double shielding - it's perfect for the task." ..... Jim, W4THU, owner of the RADIO WORKS. |

| RG-213 is a replacement for RG-8. RG-8 was the popular choice in coax for years. Unfortunately, RG-8 quality is unreliable. RG-213 is similar to RG-8 but is built to Military standards. The improved quality performance is well worth the penny or two higher cost. RG-213 has a 95% shield coverage. | This Mil-Spec RG-213 has a 95%+ braid and a top-quality, long-life, non-contaminating jacket. Electrical specs are identical to standard RG-213. For a few extra cents, you get the kind of coax others sell for nearly twice the price. | ||||||||||||
ApplicationsThis coax is suitable for all antenna installations. Keep your runs short on VHF and UHF or switch to a lower loss cable. Due the weight of this coax, I do not recommend this coax for wire antennas which are not supported at the feed point. For wire antennas, RG-8X is a better choice. Use RG-213 and similar coax for HF run out to 200 feet. On 10 meters, it may be useful to limit runs to 100 feet or switch to a lower loss cable. |
ApplicationsAll RG-213 recommendations apply. This coax has a very long life jacket that I recommend for all permanent HF antenna installations. It is also suitable at VHF if the run is limited to 100 feet or less. For UHF and VHF DX work, I recommend the coax listed on our "Low Loss Coax" page. |

| International 9086. It is a very low loss, double shielded, high quality coaxial cable. 9086 is similar to Belden 9913 but has abetter braid coverage which is necessary for easy installation of coaxial connectors. | This is the new International 9096 IIA coax. It is a top-of-the line, flexible 9913-type coax. Construction is excellent with a 19-strand center conductor. It bends as easily as conventional RG-8 or RG-213 and will handle the legal power limit even at UHF frequencies. | ||||||||||||
RecommendationsUseful for applications 50 MHz and up when the cable run is over 100 feet. RG-213 may be suitable for shorter runs. High performance HF installation will benefit from this cable if runs are over 200 feet. |
RecommendationsAll SuperCable applications. This coax is a must for crank-up towers and rotatable antennas in any installation where low loss cables are needed. |

AttenuationPer 100 feet @ 144 MHz is 1.3 dB. At 50 MHz it is 0.64 dB. |

| As you can see from its specifications, its loss is similar to our 9096IIA, which is one of the best, low loss, coaxial cables available. It features a solid center conductor and a tough foamed-polyethylene dielectric. It's a perfect semi-solid dielectric alternative to ExtraFlex. | This is your low cost alternative to other low loss cables. It is highly flexible for rotator loops, etc. and it is TRULY directly buriable due to its Polyethylene (not PVC) outer jacket. The low loss is due to the slight larger (vs. 9913) center conductor; flexible, high tech foam Polyethylene dielectric; and flexible polymer grade of polyethylene jacket. | ||||||
RecommendationsAll HF, VHF, and UHF installations. This coax is a substitute for ExtraFlex and may be used in any ExtraFlex application. |
